Welcome To Monitoring (Central) Organization, Nagpur

Monitoring Central Organisation (MCO) is one of the 13 regional offices of CWC with headquarters at Nagpur, Maharashtra. This organisation carries out hydrological observation and Flood Forecasting for designated status and reservoirs in Wainganga basin spread over the tributaries of the states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Chhattisgarh. Techno-economic appraisal of medium water resources projects and monitoring of major and medium projects located in various parts of Maharashtra are also carried out by the organisation.

The MCO is headed by a Chief Engineer reporting to Member (RM) for administrative and Hydrological Observation as well as Flood Forecasting activities and Member (WP & P) for other activities, related to appraisal and monitoring of projects. Chief Engineer is assisted by Superintending Engineer (co-ordination)

At present, there is no Circle under MCO to supervise Wainganga Division. Officers designated as Directors, head the two directorates. There are 4 sub divisions under Wainganga Divsion.
