Functions of Appraisal Directorate:

1. Techno Economical (TE) Clearance:

The project proposals submitted by Government of Maharashtra is examined for its techno-economic viability through multi disciplinary appraisal mechanism and placed before the Advisory Committee of MoWR, RD & GR.

2. Monitoring of projects under Repair, Renovation and Restoration (RRR), Flood Management Program (FMP) etc.
3. Central Assistance (CA) proposals for Surface Minor Irrigation (SMI) Projects and Medium and Major Irrigation (MMI) Projects.
