Jurisdiction of Monitoring South Organisation:

The Jurisdiction of Monitoring (South) organization for Monitoring & Appraisal works covers Karnataka, and Goa states, and for Hydro meteorological observation and Flood Forecasting works covers the States of Karnataka, Goa and part of Kerala and Maharashtra.

1. i. Upper Cauvery river basin (i.e. part of Cauvery basin which is lying in Kerala and Karnataka)

3. ii. Right side tributaries of Krishna river flowing in Karnataka namely Malaprabha, Ghataprabha and Tungabhadra (only above Tungabhadra reservoir).

5. iii. West flowing rivers draining into Arabian sea in Goa and Southern part of Maharashtra (i.e. upto Kajvi River basin).
