The Yamuna Basin Organisation (YBO) of the CWC with its headquarters at New Delhi is headed by a Chief Engineer. It has its jurisdiction extending in seven states viz Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

The Organisation comprises of

1. Two Field circles each headed by Superintending Engineer

1. HO Circle, Vaishali
2. Investigation Circle, Faridabad

2. Four Divisions each headed by Executive Engineer

1. Lower Yamuna Division, Agra
2. Upper Yamuna division, New Delhi
3. Chambal Division, Jaipur
4. Planning & Investigation Division, Faridabad

3. One  Monitoring and Appraisal Directorates and One N&BC Directorate headed by Directors

1. Monitoring and Appraisal, Directorate, Jaipur
2. Nepal & Bhutan Co-ordination Directorate, New Delhi
