Works of Mission Marathwada

The works for preparation of Master Plan for rejuvenation of water bodies in Marathwada Region has been recently assigned to Appraisal Directorate. DPRs of the Water Bodies received from State are also to be examined for inclusion under RRR scheme.

A meeting was conveyed with the concerned Department on 02.05.2017 at Mumbai and formats desired for seeking information for preparation of comprehensive plan. Even sample DPR as per the guidelines of RRR has been prepared in CWC, Nagpur so as to ease the Project Engineer for preparation of DPR. Subsequently two meetings was conducted on 17.05.2017 and 20.06.2017 at Aurangabad with officials of Water Resources Department, Water Conservation Department, and Rural Development, Zilla Parishad, for seeking the information for preparation of Master Plan for rejuvenation of Water Bodies in Marathwada Region of Maharashtra.

As per direction of CWC/DoWR, RD & GR , New Delhi , 24 water bodies identified by GOM were visited by 4 teams of officers from CWC, Nagpur during May, 2017. Out of these, DPRs of 17 water bodies from Water Resources Department & 5 from Water Conservation Department received in CWC, Nagpur were examined and sent back to Project Authorities for getting approval of SLTAC& SLSC after complying the discrepancies observed in the DPRs. However, no information on approval of SLTAC & SLSC of these schemes has been received so far in CWC, Nagpur.
