Project under Flood Management Programme (FMP)

A project named “Flood Protection Works of Lendhi Nalla” at Katol Town of Nagpur District of Maharashtra State having estimated cost of Rs. 21.11 Crore was proposed by Government of Maharashtra for Central Assistance under FMP. Planning Commission has accorded investment clearance to the project vide letter dated 24.10.2011. The project was scheduled to be completed by March-2014. As the project was not completed by the stipulated date, CWC HQ asked for approval for time extension for completion of the project from Planning Commission and submitting the fresh proposal along with requisite documents for consideration of empowered committee. The State Government has been requested from time to time for submission of the same. However, no response has been received from Maharashtra Government. As per CWC, HQs letter No.667-669 dated 21.09.2016          the scheme under FMP which was pending for more than a year may be deleted from the list of pending schemes. Hence the project under FMP scheme flood protection works on Lendi Nalla in Nagpur Districts of Maharashtra State which was pending for more than 3 years was deleted from the list of project under appraisal under MCO, CWC, Nagpur and the same was conveyed to project authorities on 18.10.2016 with the request to submit revised project proposal, if any, in future which would be considered as a fresh proposal.
